COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT WITH RESIDENCE OF NEW ADIENTEM On Sunday 16th of October 2022, the Municipal Chief Executive of Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly, Hon. Kojo Acquah met with the Residents and Landlords Association of New Adientem (NALRA) at Sump Avenue. This is one of the series of community engagements earmarked by the Assembly to meet Stakeholders and community leaders to interact and identify their concerns and how best they can be resolved. The major issues raised were: Inner Roads, Poor drainage system, and Street Lights. The Finance Officer Mr. Kwamina Essilfie also appealed to them to pay their property rates and other fees for the Assembly to serve them better. The Contractor for YA 7, a Door-to-Door waste collection service for the area also pleaded with the Residents to pay the expected fees per household in order to serve them better as the company is not breaking even. The MCE finally remarked that all their concerns are well noted and action will be taken in the next two weeks. He promised to assign his Engineers to assess the situation before any action will be taken. He further promised a Community mechanized borehole.
