Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly observed this day on the 14th October 2021 at the EKMA Assembly Hall.
This memorable occasion was coupled with a Public Education and simulation exercise from the Ghana Fire Service, Ghana Red Cross, Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) which is under the Ghana Police Service.
Much education was made by these agencies which were connected to risk management and disasters to sensitize the public on the need in preventing disasters to occur as well as to control such situations whenever they happen.
The Municipal Chief Executive for EKMA, Hon, Kojo Acquah in a statement assured the public that he will do all he can to help reduce disasters within the municipality.
Present at the ceremony were the NCCE Director, Mrs. Mercy Dubong Laar who doubled as the Chairperson, the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Innocent Haligah and some Heads of Departments.
