PRACTICAL COMPLETION INSPECTION AND HANDING OVER OF EAST TANOKROM MARKET. The Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA) has completed the Construction of 30 Bay Partitioned Market Shed.The Assembly used part of her District Development Fund (DDF) to build the 30 market sheds and was executed by Merced Minds Company Ltd.Hon. Kojo Acquah, the Municipal Chief Executive announced these at a ceremony to officially hand over the sheds to the Community on Wednesday,7th July,2021 at East Tanokrom. He thanked Hon. Joseph Cudjoe, the Member of Parliament for Effia for his support towards the completion of the sheds and the Assembly Member for Tanokrom, Hon. Kuntu Blankson for his support and contribution to this project. The Market shed has a CHPS Compound to help with the Health delivery of the community. He again thanked the community elders and market women for their patience and urged that they keep the place neat and further promised that the Assembly will provide dustbins to help with the sanitation at the market premises.The Western Regional Mamprusi Chief, Alhaji Shaibu thanked the Assembly for constructing the market shed for the Community to help ease the stress and burden of walking long distances to get market produce. He further promised to help take good care of the facility for the benefit of the community at large.Members present were, the Chief of Tanokrom, Mohammed Abubakar Tano, Mr. Innocent Haligah, the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Ben Aidoo, Works Engineer and some selected Heads of Department from the Assembly.
