In an effort to promote the growth of small businesses in Ghana, the government has implemented new Classifications For Micro, Small, And Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as stipulated in the Ghana Enterprises Agency (Classification of MSME) Regulations, 2023. This initiative is designed to establish a national definition for MSMEs, thereby enhancing research capabilities and facilitating comprehensive data collection.

In alignment with this initiative, the Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Business Advisory Centre, has organized a stakeholder engagement forum aimed at informing and educating MSMEs within the municipality regarding the new classification regulations.

The Municipal Chief Executive has expressed a strong commitment to ensuring that all MSMEs under his jurisdiction adhere to these new regulations. He emphasized that compliance with these guidelines will significantly contribute to the growth and sustainability of their businesses.
