On Wednesday,18th August,2021, the Municipal Chief Executive for Great EKMA Hon. Kojo Acquah and his team of Engineers and Planners paid an Official visit to the WHINDO HEALTH POST to acquaint themselves with current development and the construction of a two bedroom flats for the resident Nurse/Midwife as well as the butimen surface for the facility leading to the main road. He admonished the chief and his elders to advise those who have been speaking ill of himself and the Assembly to desist from that behavior, as the Assembly has channeled much of its resources towards the development of Whindo people and added that the newly constructed market will have a toilet facility very soon and a modern refuse container site for the inhabitants.
Nana Safohene Kurampong who stood in for the chief of whindo acknowledge the fact that the Assembly is doing a lot for the town but it’s just unfortunate that only few people are putting up such an unwanted behavior and appealed to the MCE not to be downhearted and continue doing his good works as they are all strongly behind him. Later, the works Engineer for the Assembly (Mr. Benjamin Aidoo) presented the Certificate of commencement and other drawings of the six months project to the contractor LASACO construction Ltd (Alhaji Alhassan) who promised to complete the work on schedule.The Municipal Health Director (Miss Joyce Bagina) expressed her appreciation for such project as it will help the progress of health delivery at the center and appealed for a placenta pit and the painting of the Health Center.
At Apremdo, it was a Re-package and the continuation of an existing uncompleted CHPS Compound and a nurse quarters attached .
The M.C.E Hon. Kojo Acquah reiterated on the History of the facility which has for sometimes now been left idle, hence re-packaging the contruct for its continuation and completion within a period of six months and hoped that it will be completed behind schedules as the facility is a complete complex of its sort. The Municipal Health Director (Miss Joyce Bagina ) remarked that they are very grateful and reiterated on the placenta pit for the facility and hope the project will be done well to live up to expectation. Hon. George Yankey the Assemblyman for Apremdo Electoral Area was grateful for such a facility and added that other facelifts like their school and road should also be looked at.
The chief of Apremdo, Nana Egya Kwamina XI was very grateful to the Assembly for such a landable thing as it will help improve the health needs of the inhabitants.
Later the Municipal Works Engineer, Mr. Benjamin K Aidoo presented the certificate and other drawings for the commencement of work which will last six month to the contractor, STANDARD CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING CO. as he promised the chief of the town that, he will be regular at the site to keep the contractor on his toes to complete the work on schedule.
