On Monday, 14th March,2022, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Effia- Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly Hon. Kojo Acquah commissioned a Community Borehole Facility at the Porter ‘A’ Basic School near Afra Effiakuma. The project was funded by Health and Humanitarian Aid Foundation (HHAF) an NGO based in New York City. The purpose of the project was to give back to society since they had their Basic Education at the school. Hence providing portable water to benefit the school and the community.
The MCE admonished the beneficiaries to take good care of the facility and noted that more of such facility will be needed to improve the living standards of the people.
Present at the ceremony was the municipal Co-ordinating Director (MCD), Mr. Innocent Haligah and the Municipal Engineer, Mr. Ben Aidoo.
